The Nest is no longer a coworking space. The open floors and hot desks are gone, and two things stand in their place: entire floors for the exclusive use of one company, and a virtual office for those who need an address rather than somewhere to sit.
We are saying this separately because a coworking space known across Warsaw operated at this address for years, and people still turn up looking for a desk. We no longer offer one and we are not planning to bring it back.
Why we dropped coworking
The reason was mundane: high cost, low revenue. An open floor needs constant staffing, cleaning, replacement of worn furniture and a steady stream of new people to fill the seats others vacate — and the income from a single desk never covered it.
The second reason came from how the companies working here grew. A team that started with three desks needed forty free at once a year later, and coworking can guarantee that to nobody, because the seats are shared. Several such companies moved from coworking to a whole floor with us. That was a decision our clients made before we made it.
What replaced it
Teams that have to work side by side take a whole floor to themselves. The module is around 250 m² and holds a team of three as comfortably as a team of forty — the layout decides, and we prepare it for the specific company. No neighbours behind a partition, no shared kitchen with strangers.
Freelancers and sole traders who need an address rather than a place to work use the virtual office. Reception takes in mail the same business day, and where a registered letter has been left for collection we pick it up at the post office on the client's behalf.
What this means if you are looking for a desk
That you will not find one here, and it is better to know before you travel. We do not rent seats by the hour or by the day, we run no passes, and there is no drop-in work area. The conference room is available to virtual office clients, but not by the hour to people from outside either.
